Thomas began his career at Swiss Bank Corporation, predecessor to today’s UBS AG, in 1976, advancing to become Senior Advisor/Managing Director at UBS Wealth management for Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula. During his distinguished career at UBS, Thomas worked in both the Wealth Management and Investment Bank divisions in Zurich, New York, Caracas, Stamford and Geneva. His client experience includes private clients, entrepreneurs, state and central banks and government agencies across many different countries.

Thomas is a Member of the Board of Directors of Zug and Tenaris Investment Switzerland SA, a subsidiary of Tenaris SA, a leading supplier of tubes and related services to the global energy industry. His philanthropic endeavors include leadership of the global UBS Sports & Entertainment initiative from 1999 to 2003.

Thomas attended Zurich Business School and has completed various supplemental management and leadership courses.

Marius A. Holzer, CFA, CAIA

A multi-faceted career of 30 years in the financial industry, fostering strategic and operational excellence as advisor, coach, project leader, and manager of origination as well as back office units provided Marius with a wealth of cross-functional experiences and professional knowledge.

Prior to launching Parkview, Marius headed the international business of a leading global Private Bank, catering wealth management services to families in Europe and Asia.

Marius is a trained economist and certified expert in information technology with an MBA from INSEAD. He is both, a CFA and CAIA charter holder and earned a certificate in Advanced Risk and Investment Management of Yale School of Management/EDHEC. 

Oussama Himani

Dr. Oussama Himani has 20 years of experience in public and private sector financial institutions. He began his career at the International Monetary Fund in 1990, where he rose to become Senior Advisor to the Executive Director and a Member of the Board. During his IMF tenure, Oussama was involved in the review and monitoring of IMF programs critical to managing the Asian and Russian crises.

Oussama then joined UBS, where he became Managing Director and Head of Emerging Markets Strategy at UBS Investment Bank, as well as Head of Emerging Markets Research at UBS Wealth Management. He was voted the  #2 emerging markets strategist in the Institutional Investor and Extel surveys for 2007.

Oussama earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

Martin Liechti

Advisor

Martin is a veteran of the wealth management industry, with over 30 years of experience as an advisor and leader. During his career at UBS, Martin advanced from a client advising function to General Manger, leading a team of 1600 bankers throughout the Americas.

Martin has also made a mark in philanthropy and education. Martin held a leading role with the UBS Optimus Foundation, which became one of the largest of its kind in Switzerland. His training orchestra for young people, the Verbier Festival Youth Orchestra, grew to become one of the best training platforms for orchestras around the world. Martin is also a member of the board of the Theodora Foundation, the largest clown doctor foundation in Switzerland, which has a sizeable footprint in Europe.

Martin attended the Swiss Banking School and the New York Institute of Finance, and he holds a Federal Banking Diploma from Switzerland.

Sebastian Derungs

Sebastian began his career as a fiduciary, providing tax and accounting services for wealthy individuals and small to mid-sized companies. He later worked for UBS Card Centre, where he was in charge of consolidation, regulatory financial reporting and optimization of accounting processes. Before joining Parkview in 2012, Sebastian was the commercial manager of a retail chain in Switzerland, where he was responsible for marketing, communication, financial accounting and controlling. Today, Sebastian is responsible for the group financial accounting and controlling, takes care of the administration of the Swiss entity and is involved in various internal and external projects. Additionally, he is lecturing accounting and controlling at the largest Swiss Marketing School.
 
Sebastian graduated from Swiss Business School in Zurich, has a Swiss federal certificate in marketing and is Chartered Expert in Financial and Managerial Accounting and Reporting (Advanced Swiss Federal Diploma of Higher Education).

Marcus R. Epprecht

Marcus started his career at Swiss Bank Corporation, predecessor to today’s UBS AG, in 1985. His global career included positions as a Private Wealth Manager, Representative in Brazil and a Manager of Brazil Teams based in New York and Miami. Over the past two decades, Marcus has developed a broad network within the Latin American financial industry and an array of others through longstanding client relationships and work with various target companies and individuals.

Marcus is a licensed Investment Advisor Representative and General Securities Representative in the United States (FINRA Series 66 and 7, respectively). He successfully completed the UBS UHNW Advisor Advanced Training and holds an equivalent BA degree from the Zurich Business School.

Alejandro Oberli

Alejandro has over 30 years of industry experience in the areas of foreign exchange, investment banking, derivatives products and wealth management across several leading financial institutions. He began his career in forex at UBS before moving on to debt capital origination with Credit Suisse, focusing on American, Canadian and Japanese corporate and sovereign issuers. In 1991, Alejandro became a member of the notable equity derivatives team at Goldman Sachs, and in 2003 Alejandro joined the UBS International Wealth Management group. At UBS, he held senior positions in New York, Geneva and Zurich, working primarily with Mexican families and entrepreneurs.

Alejandro holds a BSBA in Business as well as an MBA in Finance from the University of Denver, and he has completed several post-graduate courses at UCLA. He is holds the FINRA Series 7, 3, 52 and 56 licenses in the United States.

Maria Elena Vergara

Maria Elena began her career at Generale Bank in Brussels in 1987 as a credit analyst. Over the next decade, Maria Elena worked in Spain and Colombia, where she advanced into roles spanning the areas of International Lending, International Treasury, Correspondent Banking and Corporate Banking.

She joined JPMorgan Private Bank in 1998. Working in wealth management in both London and New York, Maria Elena became an expert in cross-border issues impacting the industry. More recently, as a Senior Banker, she was responsible for several of the most complex relationships in the International Private Bank, during which she cultivated an extensive network of professional and personal relationships both within JPMorgan and across the industry at large.

Maria Elena is a licensed Investment Advisor Representative (FINRA Series 63) and was a registered General Securities Representative (FINRA Series 7) in the US. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas Austin and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Cecilia Santana

Starting in 2001, Cecilia worked for UBS/BTG Pactual Wealth Management for 9 years where she spend the majority of the time as Daily Banker providing support to team officers and managing onshore and offshore clients and prospects. In 2010 she left BTG Pactual and jointed GPS Portfolio Strategists, a Multi-Family Office in Sao Paulo where she served the first 2 years as a Controller for clients with total assets above BRL 150mm and for the third and last year as a Wealth Management Officer. Cecilia possesses a four-year Bachelor in Business degree from FMU in Sao Paulo, and she also holds a Private Banking Services Certification (CPA20 ANBID) from the Brazilian financial services association.

Paul Hoenck

Prior to joining Parkview, Paul held positions as a management consultant in the South African financial services sector and then as an Investment Analyst for a wealth management firm. After relocating to the UK, he joined Principal Global Investors where he was part of the firm’s global macro currency strategy team.

Paul holds a Bcom(Hons) degree in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management from the University of Cape Town and is a CFA Charterholder.

Feifei Wang

Feifei Wang, CAIA

Analyst

Prior to joining Parkview, Feifei worked as a senior analyst for Allianz Investment Management, selecting and reviewing asset managers for the Allianz insurance portfolio. 

Feifei holds Master’s degrees in Quantitative Economics and Finance from University of St. Gallen (HSG) and Financial Engineering from University of Southern California and is a CAIA Charterholder.
